Nelson Comfort Inc. is a member of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), Air Conditioning Contractors of Ohio (ACCO), Greater Cincinnati Electrical Association (GCEA), and the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES).

In 1925 Julian and Aulden Nelson started a roofing company by the name of Nelson Brothers. A lot has happened with the company since then, the brothers transformed the company into a roofing sheet metal work, warm air heating, and air conditioning company. Pete Hassman, son-in law, took over the family business that he had been a part of since 1970′s. In 2008, Dan Detmer acquired the Nelson Brothers along with Mortimer Heating and Cooling, Hillard Electric, and A&P Heating and Cooling to form Nelson.
